Poetic Theatre & storytelling

Win Loss Draw

Win Loss Draw is a poetic theatre production telling the story of Leicester City’s incredible English Premier League win of 2016, through the eyes of artist - Frank.

Frank is forty and caring for his dad who has dementia. Although times are tough, they are both lifelong Leicester City fans and about to witness the greatest sporting underdog story of modern times.

Dealing with difficult themes, but full of humour and heart, this is a dose of feelgood in dark times and a hymn to teams and supporters of all tribes and types.

A Christmas carol

Chris Matthewman’s A Christmas Carol is a fresh and funny take, on Dickens' renowned redemption tale.

An evening of comic Christmas capers, witty, wintry wordplay and fine festive fun, this is the well-loved seasonal story presented in a way you have never seen or heard it before.

As you might well expect, the show will be on the road this December.

Navigating that first difficult fifty years

It’s Father’s Day 2026, and Chris is given a book that forces him to reflect on his follies, foibles and future paths, as he candidly considers his first half-century.

Touching on themes of memory, meaning and making the most of it, this is full of Matthewman’s trademark mix of amusing musical musing and poignant poetic pondering.

Possibly amongst the top 100 semi-autobiographical, spoken-word productions ever to come out of the East Midlands, it will be touring in 2027.
